Make-Up Classes
Need to make up a missed class? Register for one of our Make-Up classes!
Students must sign up to join a make-up class. No Drop-Ins
Private Lessons
Students can easily book a complimentary lesson when extra help is necessary. A cancellation fee of $20 will be charged for any late cancellations (2hrs or less notice) or no-shows.
Due to the limited number of private lessons available, lessons can be booked up to two weeks in advance. Thank you for your understanding.

Policies
What To Do If You Need To Miss Classes
IN CASE YOU ARE AWAY AND MISS CLASSES, HERE’S HOW WE CAN HELP;
1. Use the makeup classes uploaded to the Academy Online. Once you complete a recorded make-up class please email sifujesse@greatwayma.ca and he will add it to your overall class attendance.
2. Click here to Schedule a Makeup Class on Friday or Saturday (for year 1, 2 & 3 students). If you are a Jr. Black Belt or a Wing Chun student you may need to Schedule a Private Lesson. These steps will help you or your child stay on track for their next belt exam.
Belt Exams/Grading Policies
All testing fees must be paid in advance.
1. If you are NOT testing during exam week, check the testing schedule and/or your email to see if there is a regular class you can attend.
2. If a student cannot attend exam week has failed their exam, or is not yet eligible they can sign up for a make-up exam.
3. All requirements of tuition, proper skill level (2 progress stripes), good attitude/effort, and attendance must be met to be eligible to test.
4. Students will be promoted immediately after the exams are completed providing, they have passed and have met all the requirements listed above.
5. An exam fee will be charged:
- $25 if a student misses their scheduled exam without communicating to Great Way.
- $25 if a student misses their make-up exam without communicating.
- $50 to schedule a private exam.
6. Be early! If a student arrives more than 5 minutes late they will not be allowed into the exam.
